A former Arizona State Scenic Byway Coordinator, Kathie brings a familiarity with State programs, agencies and procedures. She also has an in-depth knowledge of National Scenic Byways Program procedures for grants and nominations. Kathie’s background helps her to see the bigger picture from the byway’s perspective.

Her responsibilities include:

• Serving as a contact for assigned States and byways
• Planning and problem solving with State coordinators and byway organizations
• Developing content for Resource Center events

When she is not at work, Kathie enjoys traveling and enjoying the beauty of the byways. Her retired husband, Vern, and six rescued pets, including the Byway Kittens, are currently in Cornville, Arizona and will join her in Duluth “when it’s warmer.”
