National Scenic Byways Conferences
The National Scenic Byways Conference is a biennial conference providing an opportunity to network, explore new ideas and work as a group to enhance individual byways and the Federal Highway Administration’s National Scenic Byways Program. It’s the premier conference on scenic byways in the United States, attracting hundreds of byway leaders, volunteers and associates from across the country and around the world. America’s Byways Resource Center sponsors this major event every two years in cooperation with the National Scenic Byways Program and other partners.
Byway Tele-Workshops
America’s Byways Resource Center hosts workshops via telephone for the byway community. The Tele-Workshops are usually scheduled bimonthly and feature a guest speaker with expertise in an area of interest to byway groups. America’s Byways Resource Center produces a podcast or Fact Sheet after each Tele-Workshop to re-cap the call.
Webinars
America’s Byways Resource Center leverages Internet-based technology to provide multiple distance-learning opportunities. Join the discussion live or review the video of Webinars related to topics important to the byway community. Coming soon.
Grassroots Byways Hospitality Training
The Grassroots Byway Hospitality Training Program, which won a 2007 Scenic Byway Award, teaches byway representatives how to train locals who regularly interact with travelers about all aspects of the local byway. A certified trainer will work with the byway organization to “train the trainer.”
